Persona
A model profile of the ideal customer — a semi-fictional character summarizing the target audience's needs, motivations and behavior.
A persona (buyer persona) is a concrete, semi-fictional portrait of a typical customer: their goals, pains, objections and decision style. It's grounded in data and interviews, not assumptions.
Why it matters
Personas align the team on who we're actually talking to. Content, offer and tone are then built for a specific person, not for "everyone".
Real-world example
An agency defines a persona: "a scale-up marketing director who's stretched thin". Every article and landing page then speaks to their exact pressure on time and results.
