Performance marketing
PPC
Pay-Per-Click — a paid advertising model where the advertiser pays only when a user clicks the ad.
PPC (Pay-Per-Click) is an online advertising model where you pay per click, not per impression. You know it mainly from Google Ads and search, but also from display banners and shopping campaigns.
Why it matters
PPC delivers instant traffic and full control over budget and targeting. Unlike SEO it works immediately — but only for as long as you pay.
Real-world example
An e-shop launches a "Christmas gift" campaign, sets a daily budget and measures ROAS. It pauses weak ad sets and shifts budget into the ones that make money.
