Performance marketing
CPC
Cost Per Click — how much an advertiser pays on average for a single click on an ad.
CPC (Cost Per Click) is the average price of one click. In auction systems like Google Ads it's shaped by competition, targeting and Quality Score.
Why it matters
CPC directly determines how many visits a given budget buys. Lowering CPC while keeping visit quality is one of the main performance levers.
Real-world example
Improving ad and landing-page relevance raises Quality Score, which pushes CPC from $0.50 to $0.33 — the same budget now brings half as many more people.
