Brand & strategy
Brand awareness
The degree to which a target audience knows and recognizes your brand and associates it with a given field.
Brand awareness expresses how well people know and recall a brand. It distinguishes unaided recall (I name it myself) from aided recall (I recognize it from a list).
Why it matters
A known brand has lower acquisition costs, higher conversion and resilience to price competition. Awareness is a long-term investment across the whole funnel.
Real-world example
Two companies offer the same thing. The better-known one wins even at a higher price, because the customer reaches for a name they know and trust.
