Funnel
The purchase funnel — a model of the customer's path from first contact through consideration to conversion and repeat purchases.
A funnel describes the stages a customer moves through: awareness, consideration, conversion and loyalty. Fewer people pass each stage — hence the funnel shape.
Why it matters
The funnel shows where you lose people so you can apply the right tactic per stage. Brand advertising and remarketing serve different goals.
Real-world example
Analysis shows 80% of people drop between cart and payment. Simplifying checkout then delivers more than raising top-of-funnel budget.
