On-page SEO
Optimizing elements on the page itself — content, headings, meta tags and internal links — so search engines and users understand it better.
On-page SEO covers everything you control on a given page: content quality and relevance, heading structure (H1–H3), the title tag and meta description, the URL, image alt text and internal links.
Why it matters
On-page is the foundation you fully control. Without well-structured, relevant content, even backlinks won't save a page.
Real-world example
A page about "road running shoes" places the keyword in the title, H1 and opening paragraph, supported by related questions and a link to the product category. Google and the reader both grasp the topic instantly.
